A study of free energy relationships in some amino acid-sodium chloride-water systems.

چکیده
Four systems of the type, amino acid-sodium chloridewater, have been investigated over wide solute molality ranges using the isopiestic vapor pressure method. The amino acids used were glycine, (3-alanine, y-aminobutyric acid, and +aminocaproic acid. Equations were obtained in terms of the molalities of the solutes for the activity coefficients of the amino acids in the salt solutions. The trace activity coefficients of the amino acids were all slightly negative at low salt molalities. At higher salt molalities, the trace activity coefficients for glycine and p-alanine remained negative whereas those for ,&aminobutyric acid and Eaminocaproic acid became positive. The limiting interaction parameters were calculated for these systems using the Kirkwood ion-dipole expression and an empirical term for the salt effect on the nonpolar portion of the molecule. Good agreement was obtained between the calculated values and those determined experimentally.

Equilibria of the reaction of molybdenum(VI) with L-aspartic acid (Asp) and L- Glutamic acid(Glu) have been studied by spectrophotometric measurements in mixed solvent systems at an ionicstrength of 0.2 mol/dm3 sodium perchlorate, employed (15, 20, 25, 30± 0.1°C) at pH ranges of 3.2to 5.5 with a high ratio of ligand to metal. The stability constants of the complexes and theresulting free energy...

Aquaporins are the main proteins in the plasma membrane, which facilitates the movement of water, carbon dioxide, and other small soluble material through the membrane. The aim of this study was to investigate the role of root acuporine on the physiological, biochemical and biochemical changes and water relations under drought stress. For this purpose, a study was conducted in a completely rand...
متن کاملMeasurement of Acid-Binding Capacity for Poultry Feedstuffsin Deionized and Magnetized Water
Acid-binding capacity (ABC) of a feed is the amount of acid required to reduce the pH of feed to a special level such as 3. All poultry feed ingredients used in this study were collected from feed mills in Iran. The pH and ABC were determined using the standard methods in deionized and magnetized water at room and body temperatures. The pH of most feed ingredients was raised in magnetized water...
